- A buzz cut is one length everywhere. A crew cut keeps usable length on top — about an inch or more at the front — and graduates it shorter toward the crown, so there is something to comb.
- Can you get a crew cut with curly hair?
- Yes, and it holds shape well, but the graduation reads differently. Curl shortens the apparent length, so ask for it a half inch longer than you would on straight hair.
