- How long does a men's perm last?
- Three to four months. It grows out rather than washing out, so the roots go straight while the ends stay waved, which is why most men re-cut every five weeks through the grow-out.
- How long does hair need to be to perm it?
- About three inches on top. Shorter than that and the rod cannot take a full turn, so there is no wave to set.
