Questions

Is a leaf cut the same as a wolf cut?
No. A wolf cut is heavy aggressive layering with real length at the nape. A leaf cut keeps everything short and controlled, and the layering exists to make the ends flick outward rather than to create a mullet shape.
Do you need a perm for a leaf cut?
Not necessarily, but most people get one. Straight hair will not hold the outward flick past the first wash, so a soft perm on the ends is what makes it a cut you can wear rather than one you style daily.
